Here is another example poster that I did using a different image but also changing the font:

I did another poster and this time I used a different picture of the evil clown the same one on my website as I want them to link.

First I edited the image:

As the image was already edited I just added a bit of black around it

This is how it looked like finished:

I decided to do more draft on my poster in order to see how it would look with different types of pictures. So without the clown as the main image.

I decided to go with the image of the blood in the sick first which is also on my website front page.
I edited the image in order for it to look a bit more scarier:

I added some effect to the image in order to make it look a bit dark yellowish. To make it go with the genre which is horror

I added the lighting a bit darker to give something spooky to the image

All I did for this image was to add a bit of shadow around it in order to make it blend in with the black background.

This is how it looked after everything was placed correctly:

Today I believe that I have nearly finished my ancillary task. Here is the poster that I decided to use for my final project:

However this might change as I would like to produce more posters and also ask my target audience their opinion to which poster they like the best. This way I know that the poster they use will meet their expectations.
Dear Diary

Today I carried on with my ancillaries task. I did two more poster here are the steps that I took to produce the first one:

I first removed the background as it did not go with my poster and I thought that it would look better without one.

I then played around with color balance and brightness/contrast in order to make the image a bit darker. I then added shadows around it so that it could blend in with the background. I did not add highlights around it as I would normally because it did not look good and it looked better with just shadows around the image.

This is how my poster looked like at the end of the process:

I think that I should work a bit more o the image and maybe put a bit less shadows around it.

Here are the steps that I took to produce the second one:

Once again the first thing that I did was to take away the background of the image. This was done in Cut out Studio

I the played with the Brightness/Contrast of the image to give it something darker so that it could stay in the horror them. This was done in PhotoPlus.

I then added shadows around it so that it could blend in with my black background

This is how the poster looked like at the end of the process:

I thought that poster was good however the top of the image looks a bit weird and might need changing.
Today I started a second draft for my poster. The first thing that I did was to edit another image to see if it is better than the first one:

I first took out the backgournd

I then played around a bit with the colors.

I then played around with the lighting and contrast to make the image darker

I then added shadows around the image in order to make the edges darker

I then added highlight around it to make the edges even darker

Once the image was done and everything was in place this is how the second poster looked like:

From this plan I started doing the first example of my poster, first of all I edited the picture that I was going to be using:

I first started by taking out the background of the image

I then played around with the color balance

After this I played around with the brightness and contrast in order to make the image look a bit darker

I then went around the edges and toned them with shadows in order to make the image blend in with the black background

I then went over the tone shadow with highlights to make the edges of the image even darker

At the end of all of this is how my first example poster looked like once it was finished:

The picture on this poster is not the real picture that I am going to be using for my real one.

Next time I am going to carry on with making different examples of my poster using different pictures.

This is my first draft I made I used a image from our makeup test for this poster

This is my second poster design with an image from the trailer

This is another design again used with a makeup test image

This is an image I editied for my poster, the top image is the original and the one below is the edited version.

Here are screen shots of what I did on photoshop to edit my photograph to get my final edit for my poster.

This is my original image

I duplicated the layer

I then edited the channels one at a time

this is the image after editing the channels

I then made a new layer

Next I edited the exposure, offset and gamma

I added a new layer again and using the burn tool I edited the shadows in the background

I then used the burn tool and edited the highlights

I went back to editing the shadows again with the burn tool

I then coloured the background red slightly and faded the colour so that it wasnt over powering

I then darkened the eye sockets and this is my final outcome

This is my final poster with my edited image shown above
